Excellent work. I love that Morbern as well.
You already have woodworking skills. Honestly do not be but once you start doing sewing andcover work you will be flooded with calls for furniture. You would have to invest in nothing then at all.
@ValerieJean, you need to get some crazy glue. If you are nervous about it unravelling a drop on the cut thread will hold it in place.
@r10554, it is available but you need commercial accounts with suppliers to access it. How much spraying are you planning on doing?
Good question and always a thought I have too. However work ha never returned with thread unravelling so maybe somebody else has some insight into this @ John.
I would put the carpet on the door panels. No matter what that paint will scratch and look like hell over time and it wont take long.
What are you using now Frederic?
I would think @bmchoug that you can justify the purchase with work needed. They are heavy and much can be done with a 10" bed too.
Parts will be the obstacle so JUKI. I won two and they are great.
Very good advice, only mess with the thread tensions. If you get that machine out of timing your in for trouble.
I am going to get those zipper stops if you can use needle nose pliers.
@WILD BILL, HOT DAMN!!!! I like that and would have never thought of the melting into the other teeth.
No he is looking for a carboard strip that has teeth on it like a saw. I have pulled it o older cars interiors just dont know the name of it.
I remembered a video John did and did that for this time. Smaller zippers I do the same as you.
@Saltair Boating, how did you bind yours? What material was the binding vinyl or fabric|?
Any machine that sews is a good machine. The oldest, oldest that most are copied from I use the most in my shop.
ATV cover and ordered wrong marine zipper length #10 size zipper. I need to make a zipper stop. What are your ways of making zipper stops. I do not have a zipper crimp tool on hand.
I am tuning in on this and wonder what is out there for this too.
I think he is looking at the vacuform way. I think that is just going to be a nightmare for this guy trying to do this and have it adhere to the dash.
