Hello all,

Hope you're keeping well. I have joined this forum as I'm trying to use the time in lockdown to fix a chair. Please find photo attached. So far I have an upholstery staple gun but I'm not sure what the best fabric would be to get to replace the ripped seat. Sorry for the very basic question but any advice very gratefully received.

Hi @Steph! Welcome to the forum. That looks like some form of muslin to me. I would replace it with some sort of strong canvas. It will last longer.

I was thinking the same as @John looks like a Muslin, that will get weak quicker than most. Canvas would work great
