Hi,

I am upholstering an air conditioned seat. where would I find a breathable foam that will not prevent air from flowing?

I installed these back in the day and it wasn’t so much the foam we worried about as it was making sure the material that the seat cover was made out of, was perforated.

Amm not so much. I have CNC perforation machine and no matter how big each hole is, if the foam isn't breathable, cooling system won't be effeteness.

It’s been about 10 years since I’ve done one, as I thought they were pointless in my area and not that great. So I’m digging back in my memories. But I felt we just the seat cushion foam out above the fan unit, and used a sew foam over it, so it couldn’t be felt while sitting. And that was thin enough to feel it. But I’m sure since then, ac seat units have changed a ton.

My guess is if your able to perforate the foam and it still doesn't work then something else is wrong.
