New bea 71/16 stapler.

First time using had to drop air to 40psi to stop shooting through vinyl into plywood. Driver won’t return all the way. This prevents the next staple from moving to end and being shot. Anyone ever have this problem before? If so, what did you do to correct it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My Fasco is real fussy about air pressure like that too, sometime I have to bump the pressure up or down 5-10 pounds depending on the material your shooting into (plastic vs plywood) My base setting is 50 psi.

Have you tried a few drops of mineral oil in the intake side of the line? You can also take the stapler apart and oil the head and striker.

You can experiment a bit with the angle you shoot at as well as how hard you push the head into the work..... I find a more extreme angle allows me to have the pressure set a little higher giving me FEWER issues and a firmer push seems to give less blow through

Id try oiling it first. Drop a few drops oil in the channel that the striker slides in. The striker should return easily by itself regardless of air pressure setting. Its possible your stapler was sitting on the shelf for a long time and need a little lube.
