My "contract" is up with AT&T, and they are calling me, again, to renew. They say I cannot keep the rates I had for last year unless I sign up for a tablet. I get crazy insanely unbalanced talking to these people! Is there another "phone company" besides AT&T? Can someone tell me if they have tried internet based phone service, does it actually work and is it reliable? Currently we have 2 land lines and 2 800 numbers. I'm looking for advice from a similar (very) small business that needs more than cell phone service. Thanks so much!

I cant stand AT&T. I dropped them years ago. I would do a search for business telephone service in you area. Get prices and then tell AT&T that this is the price another company is offering me. If you cant match that price you will not renew your contract. Every one I know that has phone service through their internet provider is happy with the service.
