I'm struggling to figure out how to join the wind lacing along the top of the door to the backside of the door. Every vehicle I've looked at has a gentle curve. I'm working on a 27 T with a 90-degree angle. Do they need to join or just nicely butt against each other?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The best way I have found to do 90 is to cut the spunge rod at a 45 and glue them to gather at creating a 90 corner. Then you will have to a seam in the wrapping at the corner. I would make a template of the angle the 2 pieces need to be cut at with clear vinyl. You want the seam to match the shape of the line created by the by the glued together sponge rod.

Or you can install it and accept having wrinkles in the corner. This is what most people do.
