I recently completed a headliner recover and the customer once seeing it done wanted his sun visors done as well. I reluctantly said ok and am in the process of recovering them. They're from an 05 Tahoe, plastic and brittle. (Don't ask). I'm on round 5 of attempts and am slowly figuring out the steps. I do have a question in regards to secrets for the small area where the visor has the rounded out section with the bar in it that stows the visor. Reaching out for tips and or secrets. I can't seem to get the fabric in that area to tuck into the plastic pinch without ripping.. thanks in advance.

This is the area in question. I actually slept on it and took a different approach and think I have a system now. I sewed a half circle and tucked it in there with a little glue and it works for me.

are you sure that visor doesn't come apart in to 2 pieces? I have not done an 05 Tahoe but most of the plastic one I have done split in to 2 pieces or folds open like a clam shell. Each piece gets wrapped and then it click back together like a clam shell .
