Hello- several months ago I had a large box in the front seat of my car. The box was resting on the leather piece shown. Odd thing to me is this did not appear until today (over 4 months later) when I drove it for the first time with the top down. Any idea how this can be repaired? Has anyone ever heard of cardboard box pressure doing this damage?

Any chance that's some kind of adhsive from tape on the box? Have you tried a microfiber cloth with some soap and water? My leather wrapped steering wheel always had "something" on it, I bought the car used. Once day I started scrubbing it with soapy water and a microfiber cloth, turns out the thing I felt on the wheel was dirt build up, the cloth did not hurt the finish at all, in fact it returned it to the original flat/satin finish rahter than shiny. Maybe give that a try?
