@Bondo497 Yeah I'm strongly considering outside of California. I afford something really nice somewhere else. Everything costs $1million around here.
Haven't decided where yet. I looked at Vegas and Denver but didn't get the right feeling about either one when I visited. I have friends in Alabama and I really like the south. I'm visiting there in two weeks to see what I think. I would love to find something with enough land I can plop one of those prefab warehouses down and make a big shop or a place with that already.

@SmokinSCustoms Totally agree. But I'm the kind of person that gets an idea and cant sleep until 5 am so having the shop that close is nice.

Yes sir! Come on to south brother, we still throw up a hand and wave when we meet folks on narrow roads round here. Be ready to come out of overdrive and take your time. Lol.

That's backcountry living Bondo. I know the dream in more populated areas is to have the acerage with the shop. Hang onto the farm good buddy.

@Bondo497 Aftecooled CAT power, nice. That's awesome that you painted the tranny to match. I just picked up a 3406B ATA and a horseshoe 15spd for the 359 wrecker project I've got going. Old Holmes 750 gonna be sweet to operate and really useful moving projects around.

@John Why do some pictures come in upside down? I've been fighting with that for awhile and cant figure out the trick to getting them right side up all the time.

Thanks @SmokinSCustoms we weren't sure on the trans color because it had a EATON reman so we done her up in red to match the chasis and the A model kitty cat is done in the original Paccar Matterhorn white, it looks grey in the pics. Man you have some crazy projects yourself and copy the big hole against the dash 15! Diesel smoke and a heap of gears running in our veins!! I love it!

@bondo I wish I had the patience to bring something back to life. I have always kind of envied those guys that can and do. It must be rewarding. Man, I wish I could throw a paint job on my boat trailer like that! Nice job! I look forward to seeing the progress and completed job.

Thanks for the flowers @vicstric , I have to take it one piece at a time because if you try to look at trucks this massive as a whole it can get to be overwhelming pretty fast. The way I paint is like riding a knife edge, one bump or stumble and the paint is going in the floor! Lol.

Thanks man!!! I really love the southern hospitality in that part of the country. The fresh paint on that motor looks great!!

@SmokinSCustoms Im sorry about that Im working of fixing it. It seams to only do it in the quick reply screen. For now use the full reply option when you add pictures it should work.

How about educate me on when 359's went from no cased door jambs to cased doors like 379's like the 359 in your last post?

I know the 359 was evolving into a 379 eventually and didn't go into total transformation until the windshield went from a gasket type to a rubber made on the glass and the air pipe moved into the cowl panel and the corvette dash disapeared but when did the doors change?

@SmokinSCustoms
I found the answer, there was an awesome documentary layout on the history of the 359 online. The 359 went through many changes I was completely unaware of and one was the fact that the cab went from the former "unilite" to a cab with larger windshields of 1100 square inches of visibility and they dubbed it the "1100 series cab"in late 1972 and that's when the doors changed and we now know this cab today as the "unibilt". Pretty cool stuff.

Believe it or not but this 1954 Autocar will be making the show circuit in the fall of 2019, God willing and the creek don't rise. It is next in line after the Pete is finished this October. Dad and I brought the 220 Cummins out of it's coma this past weekend. I wanted to post a video of it coming back to life but I got an error message so that's not happening.

Glad you found all that out, if would have taken me a bit to "educate." I will say this though,
"unibilt" refers to the sleeper opening on newer cabs. If you hear people ask if its a "big hole" cab, they're really asking if its unibilt.

@SmokinSCustoms that makes sense cause the unibilt badge is always on the sleeper. I was reading between the lines and assumed and you know what happens when you assume.

@Bondo497 That is a sweet truck! I kinda like it all rusty and old looking... Haha don't hate me for that...

About the videos. The files are too big to host directly on the forum. It will slow it down to much. Currently the best way to load you video to you tube and then post the link in your forum post.
I will work on finding an easier way to add videos.
