I had a local upholstery shop do my seats for me awhile back (before I started doing the work myself, and also one of the reasons I started doing it myself). When I got the seats back, one of them had a skipped stitch on a French seam, so I rejected it. She took it back to her shop where she "fixed" the skipped stitch, by simply running a lock stitch over it. After watching @LeatherJohnny 's video about what to do if you run out of bobbin thread, I wonder if there wouldn't have been a better option to repair this. Ideas?

Yes! I watched the video that John refers to some months ago and I really liked it! It is a very clever solution for a skipped stitch His videos are really helpful!!

Note: it's a pity that the upholsterer did not watch John's video, and she could have fixed it before installing the cover... it took her a lot of time to remove the whole cover from the seat and the result was not acceptable. If I had a shop and there was a skipped stitch in a visible place I would not deliver the seat without fixing it...
