Hey guys,

I am having difficulty with the cut lines being showdowed by my scissors. I really need to install an overhead ceiling light system. My ceiling is 05 feet from my cutting table. Any solutions guys?

I have florescent lights that are converted to led . They are bright ! I have one above each end of my work table and try to work between so they cancel out a shadow . Trouble with that is one is above my sewing machine so I get a shadow there :grimacing:

Sounds kind of stupid but I have suffiecient lighting in most case except a few areas I work. Not enough to worry about adding more lights and I know to avoid those spots. But for when I can’t always, I have a head light I bust out and use to cancel out the shadows. Might be a cheaper option?

@John,

You totally had me on that one :thinking: I just trailed my cut line with my lamp tonight. It worked out pretty good but need brighter overheads for sure.

Whether or not I will be any good at sewing remains to be seen. But, what will be seen is my work area. I am installing 12 duel T5 florescent light fixtures above my work tables.

Just looking for updates on overhead lighting for a 12x12 room. I am encountering too many shadows cast on my work and cutting.

Re-lit the work shop with these. Very happy with them. You may find them cheaper than this but its an example.

Several friends have now done the same after seeing how well they do. We did 18 8 footers for 3500sqft on a 12 foot ceiling. And its perfect
