been thinking about a new machine the 206 rb5 interest me for canvas vinyl and leather . looing for feed-back from anyone that has had experience on this machine would like to hear your comments. old man backlash

All I know is that it's great machine, but rb5 is made in China if that bothers you.

For about same money or even slightly less you can get Seiko STH-8BLD-3 which is essentialy the same machine but made in Japan on the same factory where 206rb was made

Hey @backlash I have herd they are pretty good. Haven't used one though. Obvsouly its not going to be as good as a one of the higher end machines like pfaff or adler but those are expensive.

@john I use the 1206 model. It’s the entry level of the 206 machine. It’s was cheaper so it didn’t have some of the features of that model. Mine has a smaller gap between the feed dogs and walking foot etc. I can say for the cost I am very happy with my machine which is essentially the same machine just a bit less. So I’d think you’d be more than happy with the 206.
