I have started on the upholstery of my Toyota Avensis. This car has been swapped from 1.6 to a 2.0 turbo engine. Drivetrain is swapped from FWD to AWD. MoTeC standalone ECU, Garrett dual ball bearing turbo upgrade, W/A top mount intercooler swapped to A/A FMIC. 356 mm 8 pot front brakes, Fidanza flywheel, Mishimoto radiator. Painted inside and out in 2 tone with House of Kolor Rainbow flakes through the clear coat. RPM gauge changed from 8 to 9k. Mocal oil cooler and filter relocation. Dolby 5.1 and DTS audio. Sparco seats.

I am working on the steering wheel at the moment, made the bottom of the steering wheel in forged carbon
I wrapped the Rear view mirror in Alcantara.
I am thinking of doing the A, B and C pillar, and headliner in Alcantara as well.
I want to flock the dash in black to remove sun reflection in the window.
The line on the side of the car is used on the insert of the doorcard. (insert is not glued in place yet). I will post some more pictures later this evening.

The bottom of the steering wheel in forged carbon The dials with 9000 rpm tacho, fuel gauge is deleted and a digital one installed in the bottom of the cluster, engine temp gauge is removed. At the fuel and temp gauge i am now installing SPA dual digital gauges.

Today i took out the C pillars and the rear deck to see how the rear speakers can be installed. Normally the woofers go in the doors below, but since i am running DTS i want them in the rear deck so the time alignment for the speaker will be much better when the tweeter and woofer are on axis and i do not have to do a ton of work on the doors to get them to sound OK.
The speakers which will be mounted are Boston Acoustics Z6, and a Pro60 for centre channel.
The normal 3rd brake light was disconnected a while ago because a 3rd brakelight is also in my rear wing and i am not allowed to use both at the same time by law.
The hole for the 3rd brake light on the rear deck will be closed and reupholstered as if it was never there. I am going to reupholster the A B and C pannels with a light grey alcantara.

Not that much, i bought it with a discount from a company that sells left over quantitys from several factorys. You can only choose colours they have in stock.

I am wondering if that is authentic or knock off Alcantara

They also sold other brands, but this colour had the word ALCANTARA stamped on one side on the edge. I have no piece left of that side unfortunately to make a picture.
It is called Orion Grey. The colour number is the same as on another website that offers real Alcantara. So i am 99 percent sure it is real alcantara.

First 2 layers of carbon are almost dry.

Added layers of Carbon to the battery bracket and made a flange at both sides where the bottom carbon piece can bolt on to.
When it is fully dry i can cut it to the desired shape.
