I want to recover the cargo area panels in a BMW wagon - the old carpet is definitely aged. It is a glued material over curved surfaces, so I don't want to use actual carpet as it is too rigid.

I have no idea where to source appropriate material - any thoughts?

They make a carpet without backing for that purpose. It can be formed over compound curves but does not hold up well to hardcwear.

What your looking for goes by many names.. Trunk liner , needle punch carpet, flexform carpet, unbacked carpet , stretch carpet
