99.99% marine canvas guy here but I have a forklift seat I am doing for the marina and need to know what size hog rings I need or how to measure them.

The plastic thing that hooks over the wire is almost 1/2" wide on the outside of the hook side so I would assume at least 1/2" rings.

Am I right or should I go larger?

@BigRig It's a boat lift actually. The one they use to lift the boats out of the water and place in storage. So yeah, quit a bit larger than your standard forklift
