These tables look interesting, some are cheap around $125.00 and some are super expensive running over $1,000.00 The ones with drawers and storage look super nice.

Also looking at a ping pong table, they fold up as well. This one is the right size, width is perfect at 52", or close to perfect.

Fantastic idea! I just did my first foam headliner and it didn't not turn out as well as I would like for it to have, had a small fold up portable table from Walmart and it was a struggle to work on efficiently......I think it was part of my problem as well as inexperience. :slight_frown:

I went the ping pong table route. I was able to pick up an old wood two piece table for $15 off marketplace. Works great, folds flat, and very little investment.

@Rug Dr. I have not seen those before. Let us know if you get one and how you like it.

@choptop0130 Yeah those folding table are too small to work on. My recommendation for a cheep portable lay out table is a set of folding saw horses and a sheet of plywood on top.

I bought 2 folding tables for my "work room" AKA living room. They are 6' long, but fold in half as well as have folding legs. Rated for 700lbs, I put them next to each other and lash the legs together for a 60" width, later I bought cheap bed risers and have them waist height for comfort. I had to get something I could stash in a closet. I can lay out 2 yards of fabric, works for me.

John, have you seen the price of a sheet of plywood, Oh hell. Even MDF and particle board is crazy nuts. You couldn't buy the same amount of particle board that it takes to build a ping pong table for the price of a ping pong table.

Yeah I know. Trying to get my shop built and the price of wood is almost the same as steel. I recently bought a saw mill and plan on making my own wood for projects.
