I currently have a Sailrite LSZ-1, it does not like PTFE type thread, lots of skipped stitches. Do all machines struggle with this type of thread?

I've used the Tenara brand of (PTFE) . . . there are others . I've used both the regular (92) and the heavy (138). They can be finicky so make sure you have the tension set well according to what you are sewing. You may also want to make sure your machine is timed properly. The thread is stiff and 'wirey' as compared to other threads.

I am sewing on a Consew 206RB. You should be able to get decent results with PTFE thread.

I remember hearing on a sailrite video that tenara worked better on a rotary hook machine and that profilen was better on oscillating hook machines and i think your LSZ is an oscillating. Dont know details on why they made that comment but it's their machine. I have heard of people building a horizontal spool stand and having it roll off of the spool rather than pulling straight up off the cone. Haven't needed to try myself but something i read elsewhere as a "if you're having trouble with tenara, try this". I assume it has more to do with it twisting than anything but worth a try.
