I have kind of a weird question I hope someone here might be able to help with.

What is considered a "full" roll of vinyl and most importantly what would the max diameter of said roll be?

I'm building a roll holder for the end of my new table and need to know this dimension so I can properly space the roll away from the edge.

I work for a commuter railroad and run the car rebuilding programs. About 10+ years ago, I bought a bunch of vinyl for our seats, the rolls varied in length, I don't recall the actual measurements in terms of length but the diameters were maybe a foot or so. This vinyl was also bought in a 1500 yard minimum as it was a special order color. Hope this helps at least a little.

This should help a little more. It calculates the OD of a roll with a known ID and a material thickness.

Either way, it looks like if I make fit a 12" diameter I should be good for most.

most rolls i see come in a 30 yard on a roll . diameter around it 24- 30 inch

24-30" in diameter? Probably would need a forklift to move it! Maybe contact a supplier and see what they normally supply ...
