Question is do you replace the whole spring or just the part that’s bad?

Another Someone did this seat at one time.
So it’s back to drawing up a new pattern.
This one just isn’t gonna work

If it's available I would replace the whole thing. If that part broke, what's to say the rest won't down the line.

I ordered enough to do the whole seat. Its the first time i am going to replace this piece. Hope it's not too big of a headache. Pl us I ordered the springs on the end.
it already had some missing , so i ordered extra , afraid one might break when i take it apart.
