I’m trying to do my first seat reupholstery project
I want to use a material that is physically the same as VWs cloth seats or bmw cloth seats. But I don’t need any patterns, mostly because they’re so stinking expensive
The problem is I don’t know what the material would be called. Obviously cloth but that brings up every kind of material all the way to carpet which is not what I want
Does anybody have some insight as to what the material I’m trying to find is?

Thanks
Austin

I saw their site, I just have no idea what the material I'm looking for is specified as.

I think it would be cloth but that seems to pull up mostly like the american carpet like upholstery but I don't want vinyl or leather it's like that polyester cloth that VW has been using a lot lately.

Hope that makes sense, browsing their site, maybe I'll order some samples

Good luck! I have a VW van here to do and the only place I could find duplicate material was in the UK. It is foam backed Velour. I ended up ordering bodycloth and telling the customer thats the only way. The UK company CarMat had the material but wont sell unless you buy a lot all the time.
