Zipper repair

Anyone have any suggestions on replacing a zipper pull? This is on my son's motorcycle jacket and replacing the whole zipper would be pretty involved. He was able to get a replacement zipper from the company but I've never tried an actual zipper repair. Any help is appreciated.

Just replace the slider if he absolutely wants the same model, then ordering a replacement zipper will do, but if he doesn’t mind a standard slider, just go to your local shoe repair shop and ask for a new slider, or order one on line, easy to replace, pull the stopper remove old one and install new one and new stopper, done

I should have mentioned, this zipper is on the opening of the sleeve so you can zip it tight around your gloves. I think its called a closed end zipper that is closed by zipping it down if your arm was at your side. I already have a replacement zipper, the teeth are nylon and the slide is metal. I think it's a #5 but the pull seems larger, probably so you can use it with gloves.

Ok, pretty much the same, remove both stoppers, take slide off, install a new one by backing it in place, use a small pick to help open the zipper, pull back the slider to open the zipper, install stoppers and that’s it

I've never given zippers any thought, any places you could suggest for the stoppers?

Depending on the zipper style you can either buy stoppers or make them with a piece of fabric or leather, to buy them, try a good show repair shop, they usually have what you need, slide and more

Thought I would give an update. I ended up cutting off the end stop and feeding the new zipper pull back on. I had to do it twice since I was one tooth off the first time. Everything worked out great. For a replacement end stop I just used some thread and sewed it together. Since when the zipper is open, it's at the end stop and covered by the material of the jacket you really can't see anything. Thanks for all the suggestions.
